As per company SOP, cargo de-stuffing is carried out and the de-stuffed quantity is tallied with that of the quantity as mentioned in the WH BE. While de-stuffing, if the supervisor happens to notice damage to any of the packages inside the container, he takes the photo of the said package in as-is-where-is condition and shares the photo image to the CHA/Importer and wait for their response whether to proceed ahead or to halt the de-stuff operation. In case the damage is serious, the CHA/Importer arranges their nominated surveyor and the de-stuffing of the remaining cargo is done in their presence.
